Remember with flashcards

Flip through focused prompts and answers without turning every review into a test.

  1. Generate cards from your sources or create your own.
  2. Choose question and answer, both directions, or cloze to hide selected words. Add tags to find related cards.
  3. Click a card to flip between its question and answer. Star, search or shuffle cards as you browse.

Use Quizzes when you want answers scored, explanations, knowledge-gap tracking and spaced practice.

Bring your material

Turn a document, recording, video or public web page into a study workspace.

  1. Choose New chat, then upload your PDF, slides, Word document, image, audio or video.
  2. Use Add a web page to paste a URL or search for a topic. Choose a result to add it.
  3. Add a prompt if you want, then submit. Wait for the source to finish processing before studying.

Ask your sources

Ask questions about your material while keeping the source beside the conversation.

  1. Open a chat and choose a source on the left.
  2. Ask a specific question, such as: Explain cellular respiration using this material.
  3. Follow up when you need a simpler explanation. Check the source to verify important details.

Write and reshape notes

Write and format in one editor, or save a useful Chat answer as a note.

  1. Open Notes and create a note. Type / to insert headings, lists, checklists or a table.
  2. Use the help button to see the Markdown needed for two-column and three-column tables.
  3. Ask Chat to summarize a PDF by section, then use Save answer to Notes below the response.
  4. Highlight a passage and choose Rewrite. Your edits save automatically.

Find gaps with quizzes

Test your understanding and see which topics need more practice.

  1. Generate a quiz from your chat sources. Questions can be multiple choice, fill in the blank, or free response.
  2. Submit your answers and read the explanations. GoodScores grades written responses against the expected answer.
  3. Open past submissions to review earlier attempts. Sharing is in the quiz menu, and folder Analytics shows your progress.

Organize your workspace

Keep related chats together so you can study a whole subject.

  1. Create a folder from the sidebar and give it a subject name.
  2. Drag chats into the folder, or use a chat's menu to move them. Rename the folder from its page.
  3. Open the folder to view its chats, learning analytics, or start Bloom scrolling.

Learn through Bloom scrolling

An immersive stream of questions drawn from the chats in one folder.

  1. Open a folder and choose Open Bloom scrolling. Practice starts immediately.
  2. Choose an answer to check it. Scroll vertically on mobile, or use the side arrows and arrow keys on desktop.
  3. Missed questions return sooner. At the end of a set, GoodScores prepares more questions while you can review earlier ones.

Get help with a passage

Turn a difficult passage into an explanation you can discuss.

  1. Open a source and highlight a passage you want help with.
  2. Choose a guidance action, such as an explanation, or ask for feedback.
  3. Open Guidances to read the result and continue the conversation.
